Developed in part by Private Office Dubai, Rolls-Royce has announced its latest one-of-one Cullian commission. Dubbed the ‘Spirit of Marassi’, the bespoke luxury SUV’s design draws inspiration from Egypt’s North Coast, and represents the country’s geological surroundings while paying homage to its craft tradition. Said Michelle Lusby, Lead Designer at Rolls-Royce Private Office Dubai, “We wanted to create a motor car that captures both the tranquillity of the sea and the vibrancy of Egyptian artistry. From the hand-painted fascia inspired by the movement of the Mediterranean, to the Khayamiya embroidery that celebrates a centuries-old craft tradition, every detail was carefully considered to create a deeply personal tribute to place.”

The Cullinan Spirit of Marassi is represented as a vehicle made up of multiple original artworks. Inspired by the Mediterranean Sea, the fascia’s colour scheme – featuring off-white, teal, and navy – depicts the movement of coastal waves. The theme is carried over to the interior, where high-gloss artwork of the of location run the length of the open-pore Royal Walnut woodset. The centre rotary dial is finished in turquoise as a nod to Egyptian turquoise (Sinai turquoise), which holds historical significance. The cabin upholstery features decorative hand-stitched appliqué design pieces inspired by Khayamiya textiles, placed on the front and rear seats, honouring one of Egypt’s most significant artistic traditions.

As a reminder, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan employs a 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 producing 420 kW and 850 N.m of torque. Power is transferred to all four corners via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The luxury SUV completes the 0-100 km/h sprint in a claimed 5.2 seconds, before topping out at 250 km/h.
