For starters, the firm’s V series Tunland bakkie line-up is the first Foton product employing a 48V mild-hybrid powertrain. Both the Tunland V7 and V9 are equipped with the automaker’s 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbodiesel motor, which, incorporating 48V tech, churns out 120 kW and and 450 N.m of torque, the latter of which is available from 1 800 to 2 600 r/min. The oil-burner is coupled with a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission. In addition, both variants are equipped with double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension.
