Joining the diesel-powered models (220d and 300d) in the GLC SUV range, the GLC 200 employs a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine incorporating 48 V mild-hybrid tech. The four-cylinder unit produces 150 kW and 320 N.m of torque, delivered to all four corners via the Stuttgart automaker’s 9G-tronic nine-speed automatic transmission. Volkswagen has unveiled a prototype version of the SA-bound Amarok Walkinshaw edition.  Image: Volkswagen Developed in collaboration with Australian tuning company Walkinshaw Automotive Group, Volkswagen has revealed the Amarok Walkinshaw double-cab bakkie. While the Amarok Walkinshaw, also referred to as the W600 (a nod to its maximum torque figure), has mostly been unveiled, the German marque has yet to whip the camouflage off this edition’s (model-specific) front fascia. The Amarok Walkinshaw features 3D-printed Walkinshaw badging, black wheelarch cladding, wider mud flaps, and 20-inch alloy wheels – the latter shod in Michelin Sport 4 SUV road tyres. Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV price in SA The GLC 220d Avantgarde and GLC 220d AMG-Line are now priced from R1 184 474 and R1 269 175, respectively; R53 447 less than the previously. The GLC 300d Avantgarde and GLC 300d AMG-Line are now priced from R1 334 474 (previously R 1 474 718 ) and R1 419 175 (previously R1 559 419), respectively. Included in the price is a two-year/unlimited km warranty and a five-year/100 000 km maintenance plan. Lamborghini sets new sales record in 2025

The Sant’Agata Bolognese-based automaker delivered 10 747 cars worldwide. The goal was 10 000 cars and this surpasses the number of deliveries in 2024. Lamborghini provides for three main world macro-regions. Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) was the leading market with 4 650 cars delivered. Then, not far behind,  3 347 units were delivered in the Americas. SA-bound Volvo EX60 officially revealed

Scheduled to arrive in South Africa in the third quarter of 2026, Volvo has officially whipped the wraps off the EX60.  Image: Volvo Based on Volvo’s SPA3 (Scalable Product Architecture 3) platform, the EX60 was revealed in single and dual electric-motor configurations. Serving as the opening gambit to the EX60 lineup, the P6 is the sole derivative employing the former layout, while the P10 AWD and P12 AWD are equipped with the latter arrangement. The P6’s rear-mounted electric motor produces 275 kW and 480 N.m of torque. According to Volvo, these figures allow the rear-wheel-driven EX60 to complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.9 seconds. The P6’s 83 kWh (gross) battery pack, which is capable of receiving up to 320 kW at a DC fast-charging facility, offers a claimed emissions-free operating range of 620 km when fully charged. So, bidding farewell to its performance-focused, coupé-styled compact sedan, the Affalterbach automaker announced the introduction of the CLA 45 S Final Edition in July 2025. Limited to just 15 examples locally, this special-edition CLA 45 S  is now available in South Africa. So, what sets the special edition apart from the “standard” CLA 45 S? Well, for starters, the Final Edition models available to South African customers are all finished in Night Black paintwork and feature large ‘45 S’ decals, in either black or yellow, on the doors. Mazda unveils CX-6e SUV

Sporting impressive range, sharp looks, and numerous safety innovations, the Mazda CX-6e represents a bold step towards the electrification of its most popular models. The emissions-free SUV is equipped with a rear-mounted single electric motor, fed by a 78 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, producing 190 kW and 290 N.m of torque – good for a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time of 7.9 seconds and a 185 km/h top speed. According to Mazda , the CX-6e’s battery pack is capable of receiving a maximum charging rate of 195 kW at a DC fast-charging facility; allowing for a 10-80% recharge in 24 minutes. Hyundai SA responds to Grand i10’s zero-star NCAP safety rating

Hyundai South Africa has responded to the recent zero-star NCAP safety rating awarded to the Grand i10 for adult occupant safety. Image: Hyundai Following a recent Global New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) where the Grand i10 received a zero-star safety rating for adult occupant safety and three stars for child safety, Hyundai Automotive South Africa has responded that the Grand i10 meets all local safety and homologation requirements according to the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS). All vehicles are required to meet 53 NRCS compliance requirements to be approved for use on South African roads. This includes braking performance, frontal impact protection, door latch integrity, child restraint anchorage systems, and airbags, among other regulated safety features. Image: Ferrari Ferrari has whipped the wraps off the 12Cilindri Tailor Made, a one-off model designed in collaboration with four South Korean artists and Cool Hunting, a lifestyle media brand and online publication. The 12Cilindri Tailor Made is finished in a bespoke iridescent ‘Yoonseul’ hue, which shifts from green to violet with blue highlights. The exterior of the one-of-a-kind 12Cilindri is further distinguished by translucent Scuderia Ferrari shields, Prancing Horse emblem and “Ferrari” lettering. Completing the exterior specification are white brake callipers. Inside, the seats, floor and several other interior surfaces are upholstered in a unique 3D-patterned fabric.
