Koenigsegg Reveals Radical Sadair’s Spear Hypercar

Image: Koenigsegg The ‘Sadair’s Spear’ moniker is inspired by the name of the racehorse Koenigsegg founder and CEO Christian von Koenigsegg’s father, Jesko von Koenigsegg, who the Koenigsegg Jesko was named for, held dear. The Sadair’s Spear’s carbon-fibre and kevlar bodywork wraps around the automaker’s 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, which produces a whopping 970 kW and 1 000 N.m of torque, the latter available in a broad 2 700 to 6 170 r/min swathe of the rev band. However, fuelled with E85, these figures are lifted to an eye-widening 1 212 kW and 1 500 N.m. Stopping power is provided by a cabon-fibre braking setup, comprising 410 mm fore and 395 mm aft discs, and “bespoke” Koenigsegg callipers.
